Once again we are at this time of the year that everyone is waiting for. A wonderful season with lots of cheers, loves, gift giving and abundances of holiday spirit. Christmas is the long awaited season of the year. Everyone just love Christmas!

Christmas is indeed a very special holiday season that everyone loves even if they are not christians by religion. It is the season that is celebrated in almost all part of the world. Countries with Christian minorities have adopted many of the aspects of Christmas like gift giving, decorating the Christmas trees and celebrating this auspicious festival with family, loves ones and friends.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. It is the perfect holiday seasons for gift giving, celebrating and sharing precious moments with loves one, family and friends. Both young and old enjoy Christmas seasons especially the children. They loves the opening of Christmas gifts most of all. Opening of gifts and finding what is inside the box brings that special smile that comes straight the heart.

Christmas Day is celebrated as a grand festival. It is a public holiday in countries around the world including countries with populations that are mostly non-Christians. Christmas falls on the 25th December of each calendar year and with holiday seasons coming to the close, Christmas is a perfect time to get away and go for a holiday somewhere your heart desire.

People in countries who experience snow during this time of the year will be hoping for a magical white Christmas. It will be so wonderful to have snowflakes and snow covering the ground. Children can have a fun time making snowman, throwing snow balls, skiing and ice skating on frozen lakes.

Christmas is the time of the year to enjoy great food, drinking and having a merry joyous time. Decorating the house with Holiday Season Christmas theme and dressing up the Christmas trees with pretty ornaments and colorful lightings give you a beautiful feelings of Christmas.

While we are celebrating this Christmas Holiday of the year, let’s us all give a few moments of thoughts to those less fortunate than us and pray for them. Let’s us take this moments to remember all those soldiers who have been deployed away from home, away from their family and loves one at this Christmas time of the year. Let us all pray and give thanks to them for helping keep our nation safe while we are celebrating. Let us all pray for peace and harmony around the world.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is when blood flow to a certain part of the brain stops for a short period of time. A person will experience stroke-like symptoms for 1-2 hours and the symptoms may last up to up to 24 hours.

Transient Ischemic Attack is felt to be a warning sign that a true stroke may happen in the future if nothing is done to prevent it. Transient Ischemic Attack is also known as mini stroke, TIA or little stroke. It can be life threatening, fatal in many cases so never take such symptoms lightly. Seek medical attention immediately.

My Dad suffered a Transient Ischemic Attack a few days ago. He has a short memory loss that he would not remember what has happened the last few days. Thanks goodness he is alright and now in the hands of two medical doctors. My baby sister Esther shared a great tips with us for stroke patients. We did not practice on our Dad because we only got to know about this tip after he has treatment from the doctors.

Now that I have learned about this great tips, I would like to share them with all my readers. This can save lives.

A Needle can save the life of a stroke patient.

From a Chinese Professor .

Keep a sewing needle or a injection syringe in your home or in your purse. It is an an amazing and unconventional way to recover from stroke. Read this through as this can help to save someone life one of these days.

When a stroke strike, the capillaries in the brain will gradually burst so never move the patient. Moving the stroke patient will cause the capillaries to burst faster. Called for medical attention and while waiting, do the following :-

A sewing needle or a straight pin will work but an injection syringe will be the best.

1. Place the sewing needle or pin over a fire to sterilize it

2. Then prick the tip of all 10 fingers of the stroke patient. There is no specific acupuncture points, just prick about one mm from the fingernail.

3. Prick till blood comes out

4. If you don’t see blood that start to drip, then squeeze with your fingers to help the blood flow out from the stroke patient finger tips,

5. When all 10 fingers are bleeding, wait for a few minutes and the stroke patient will regain consciousness.

6. If the stroke patient’s mouth is crooked, then pull on his/her ears until they are red.

7. Then prick each ear lobe twice until two drops of blood comes out from each ear lobe.

8. After a few minutes, the stroke patient will regain consciousness.

Wait till the stroke patient regains consciousness and in normal state without any abnormal symptoms of stroke, then take the patient to the hospital or in some cases, wait for ambulance to arrive. You will need to revive the stroke patient that he/she regain normal state before sending him/her in the car or in the ambulance because a bumpy trip can cause all the capillaries in the brain to burst. And that will be fatal.

Another great tip is to keep some aspirin with you as this little pill can also help save a stroke patient’s life. But aspirin has to taken orally when the stroke patient is still conscious.

Share this with your family and friends and you can help save someone’s life someday.

Apple Mac

I am so happy that I want to share it with you. My husband ordered an Apple iMac 21.5 inches Desktop for me and it came yesterday evening.

I thought it would take me a while to set it up as I have read many reviews that say that Mac’s Operating System is so different from Windows 7 and kind of difficult to make changes from their usual Windows to a Mac. Out from the box and WOW! This desktop is so cool. It is huge and solid as compared to my two HP laptops and a HP note book which is a HP dv6, a HP dv7 and a HP Mini 1000. I had many issues with my HP laptops and finally we decided to make the change to a Mac.

Now back to my new iMac. I must say that I love the manufacturing components that were used to make this desktop. The quality is excellent. Well worth the price tag for this unit.

It starts off with the Voice over Quick Start using voice over command and using Press Control and Option Key and so forth. I would say it took about 10 minutes to follow through the Voice over Quick Start and I am on the registration process. So far everything is getting on good.

Now I have the registration set up done and I am ready to take on my iMac. It uses Safari and it works so fast. It is so much faster that I have never experienced this with my other laptops and desktops that I have used before. I managed to get on internet easily so all those reviews that I have read don’t really match up with my findings.

The features, utilities and software that come with this iMac are so awesome. After spending an hour comparing this computer with the ones that I have, I finally am entirely convinced that it is well worth the price tag. First of all, even with less RAM, the Mac is so much faster and performed so much better than a tech spec superior PC.

It can run several memory draining and intensive applications like video editing software, iTunes and web browsers playing video simultaneously without any noticeable lag. All the programs start up almost instantly and it work perfect.

Another feature that I love about Apple Mac is that it doesn’t require separate anti-virus software. It is supposed to be virtually safe from hackers. You do not have a dozen McAfee processes running in the background that slow down your computer. That peace of mind for Internet Security alone is well worth the extra money buying a Mac.

With only a few minutes of playing with my iMac, I realized that this computer is very intuitive and it is as easy to use a PC. I may need more time to get to know my iMac but I am already mitten by it.

I have not really tried out everything that comes with my iMac but I know I won’t be disappointed with any of the features and software’s. With Apple standing behind their products, I am sure I will not face issues with my iMac as compared to the many issues I had with my HPs.

For those who are considering a Mac, I should say doesn’t hesitate. It really is well worth your money investing in a Mac. For me it is Peace of mind. I don’t have to worry so much on viruses and that is a plus.

Now I am going back to explore my new iMac. It is like having a big TV screen in front of me… *Smile*. I am also considering a Mac Pro laptop or an iPad. Which one do you think is better?

Search Engine Ranking

Today, 29th February 2012 is a happy day for me. This date February 29 is a leap day, a date that only occurs every four years. A normal year has 365 days and in a Leap Year, it has 366 days. This additional day is added to the calendar in Leap Years as a corrective measure due to the reason that the earth does not orbit around the sun in precisely 365 days.

Not sure if this additional day in the year 2012 brings good karma or not but it does bring me great results. My websites www.icrochetandknit.com and www.windowspcsupportusa.com both received 1st placement ranking in all three major search engines that is Google Search Engine, Yahoo Search Engine and MSN Search Engine.

Google Search Engine did rank my website Windows PC Support USA in the 1st place ranking when it has my website indexed 7 months ago. It usually takes Google Search Engine a month to three months to index a site but somehow Google ranked this website of mine in just two weeks time. Windows PC Support USA was actually registered on 7th June 2011 and icrochetandknit was registered on 19th November 2011. It did rank 1st placing in Google Search Engine in December 2011 but did not get the ranking by Yahoo Search Engine till today. Perhaps Yahoo Search Engine and MSN Search Engine have a different way of ranking websites and also takes longer time to rank sites.

Nevertheless to say, today 29th February 2012 is a happy day for me that finally all the three major search engines ranked both my websites in 1st placement.

My third website www.lilian-eblog.com which is this blog site was registered on 24th February 2010 which makes it a two year old site. It did have 1st place Google Ranking till I gave all my time to Windows PC Support USA and now i Crochet and Knit that I have not been writing article for posting. I hope to get my crochet work in prospective soon and give some time to writing and posting articles for my viewers.

I like to say thank you very much to all my viewers in particularly my Farmville and Face book friends who have constantly been giving me great support. I really do have very awesome Farmville friends.

I also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Leap Year!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Love is in the air and February is denoted as the month of love. Today, 14th February is Happy Valentine’s Day also known as Saint Valentine’s Day or Lover’s day.

Valentine’ Day is one of our favorite days because it is all about Love, romance, gifts, chocolates and flowers. If you are planning a romantic night or a fun family gathering, todays Valentine’s Day treats will sure to lead to lots of hugs and kisses.

Valentine’s Day is a day celebrated to observe and honor one or more early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine way back in the 496 AD. Valentine’s Day is celebrated in over 100 countries around the globe. It is not just the western part of the world that is celebrating Happy Valentine’s Day but it is also celebrated in eastern region. Surprising in Malaysia, many of the restaurants are fully booked which means Valentine’s Day is not just celebrated by young and newly romantic couples but it is a day celebrated all both young and old.

Happy Valentine’s Day had evolved into an occasion in which lovers express their love for each other by offering confectionery, presenting flowers, gifts and sending greeting cards. Since the 19th century, handwritten greeting cards have been given as a way to express the feeling for your love one.

In modern days, Valentine’s Day is no exception. Greeting cards in the shape of hearts, doves and figure of winged cupid are sent or presenting to their love one. Many lovers take this happy romantic occasion to tie their knot. It is a believe that getting married on a romantic day like Valentine’s Day will bring continual love and romance in the couples live. Now that explained why so many restaurants in Malaysia are fully booked.

There are many choices of gifts to present to your love one. You can order flowers bouquet with teddy bear, heart shaped pillow, musical box, candy, chocolates and many more. My favorite is the big huge strawberries dipped in chocolates. They taste so awesome! If you have not got your love one a gift this Valentine’ Day, go get one and enjoy the magical love this day can brings you.

To all the lovers around the world, A Happy Valentine’s Day to you and May this day blessed you with lots and lots of everlasting love. For those newlyweds who are getting married today on Valentine’s Day, may you have a blessed and blissful wedding that see you through many more Valentine’s Day anniversary celebration.

Here’s to wish all my family members, friends, my awesome Facebook and Farmville friends a Happy Valentine’s Day. May this day brings blessed you richly with lots of love and romance through the year.

Happy Valentine’s Day !

Happy Chinese New Year 2012

Time flies so fast and once again we are here to usher in the Chinese New Year on 23rd January 2012. This New Year is the Chinese Lunar year of the Dragon. The Dragon is consider the most auspicious and lucky sign among the 12 animals sign in the cycle of the Chinese Zodiac. The other 11 animal’s sign of the Chinese Zodiac are the rat, bull, tiger, rabbit, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. The Dragon comes after the rabbit in this cycle.

Chinese New Year or the Chinese Lunar New Year is the most important festival for the Chinese around the world. It marks the start of the spring festival. Chinese New Year is the time of the year for members of the family to get together and celebrate. Chinese New Year is a 15 days celebration and will end on 6th February 2012.

A couple of weeks before the Chinese New Year, the Chinese will begin with spring cleaning their houses and yards. Colorful lanterns which are usually in red and Chinese Banners written in Calligraphy are hung in their respective houses to usher in the New Year. This is to symbolize and attract prosperity and good luck to their home throughout the year.

Family members will bake cookies, cakes and delicacies are prepared for this auspicious occasion well before the start of the Chinese New Year which is usually a couple of weeks ahead. All brooms, mops and dustpans are kept out of sight as the Chinese believe that good luck will be swept away if they sweep and clean the floor on the first day of the Chinese New Year.

The Chinese believe that firecrackers and fireworks will scare away the evil spirits and will bring in good tidings and chi to them throughout the whole year Chinese New Yearhence firecrackers and fireworks are played during this auspicious occasion.

All the family members will gather together in their parent’s house on the eve of Chinese New Year for the traditional reunion dinner which is a must for the entire Chinese household. For those who live abroad are excusable if they cannot make it back home for the reunion dinner. Feasting starts on the eve of the Chinese New Year and open house parties are held for family, relatives and friends to get together for the celebration. A special dish Yi Sheng is prepared and serves during the Chinese New Year. It is a traditional delicacy that is believed to bring good luck. The more times you eat this dish during the 15 days of Chinese New Year, more luck will come to you. Yi Sheng consists of thin slices of raw salmon and shredded vegetable roots like carrot, radish and pickles. Family members will begin the reunion dinner by tossing this dish Yi Sheng as high as possible with a pair of chopsticks. The Chinese believe that the higher you toss, better luck will come to you throughout the year.

Another believes that the Chinese have is to wear new clothing and shoes during the Chinese New Year. The more new things that you wear on this auspicious occasion will bring in much more good luck to you. They even dress up their houses with new curtains, table clothes, bedding items. New toothbrush, new towels, new hand bags are also some of the new things that are used during the Chinese New Year.

The parents, relatives and married friends will give Ang Pows to the children. Ang Pows are red packets that contain money and Chinese believe that the more you give out during Chinese New Year, much more money will come to you in return.

Chinese New Year is all about visiting family members, relatives and close friends, getting together, feasting and catching up with good old times hence visiting is part of the itinerary for the New Year. Some Chinese folks will visit the temples to offer prayers to their God for another successful and prosperity year ahead.

Dragon dance and Lion dance performances are held at huge malls, Business Companies and restaurants to usher in the New Year and for good luck and prosperity. My husband and I took an hour and a half drive to Philadelphia to witness the Lion dance and to have a feast of Peking duck and some delicacy at a Chinese restaurant to celebrate my Chinese New Year.

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my family members, relatives and Chinese friends. May all your hope, dreams and wishes come true. May success and prosperity be with you throughout this New Lunar Year too. Join me to wish all your Chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year !!

Gong Xi Fa Cai ! Happy Chinese New Year !

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

As a New Year begins, we often find ourselves reflecting on our future. The year 2012 is no exception. We will find ourselves reflecting on what is next in our life? Will it be what we are hoping for? What challenges, rewards and opportunities will be available for us? Armed with this knowledge, we will be able to plan our year ahead and meet our full potentials. May we keep our spirits high throughout the year for success, peace and happiness.

Let’s hope and pray for an even better year in 2012. May our love life, work realm and money situation evolve brilliantly throughout the whole year. We can’t go against Mother Nature so let’s pray and hope that there will be less suffering and hardship around the globe. Let’s us also pray for much lesser catastrophe and natural disasters in 2012. We may want to pray for no natural disaster but that is beyond our wishes. Nature is what it is.

Let’s us all pray for a better decision from our government and may there be more jobs and working opportunities available for us in the year 2012. Rich and profitable business ventures for businesses and fruitful harvest for our farmer friends. With this we hope that there will be no famine around the world.

Let us all also pray for greater peace and stability among nations and continents around the globe. May wars that have been lingering for years come to an end in the year 2012. Let’s us all pray and hope that children around the world will have food, warm, shelter and educations. May animals and pets in shelters be adopted and not put to sleep.

Last but not least, let’s us all hope for a better green environment and world peace keeping throughout the year 2012. Let’s us hope that all our prayers will be answered and embraced the journey in life that we have taken for a stronger and wiser wellbeing. May dreams and hope be accomplished and our goals and resolutions for the New Year are met.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone and Let’s us all celebrate the coming 2012 !!

Merry Christmas

Christmas is the best time of the year. It is the perfect holiday seasons for gifts giving, celebrating and sharing precious time with loved ones, family and friends. Young and old enjoy this holiday seasons especially the children. They love the gifts just as much as we adults do.

Christmas Day is celebrated as a grand festival. It is a public holiday in countries around the world which includes countries with populations that are mostly non-Christian. Many of these countries with Christian minorities have adopted many of the secular aspects of Christmas such as gift giving, decorating the Christmas trees and celebrating this auspicious festival of the year.

Christmas falls on the 25th December of each calendar year and with each year coming to the close, Christmas is a perfect time to get away, go for a holiday, catch up with some outdoor activities and if you are in countries which experience snow during this time of the year, you will be hoping for a white Christmas, a magical winter wonderland.

With snowflakes and snow covering the ground, it will be a fun time for children and adults as well to make snowman, throw snow balls, go skiing and even ice skating if the lake is frozen hard. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year to feel the coziness, the warm of the fireplace and celebrating Christmas dinner with your loved ones, family and friends.

To many of us, Christmas is not Christmas if we do not have a turkey served on the dinner table but for those less fortunate ones, Christmas will still be Christmas even if there is not much food on the table. The important thing is having your loves ones and family with you celebrating the Christmas spirit that counts most.

Christmas is the time of the year for enjoying good food, drinking and have a merry joyous time. Houses will be decorated with Holiday Season Christmas theme. Christmas trees will be dressed up with ornaments and lights that no one tree looks alike. Everyone has their own favorite ornaments to display on their Christmas tree. The yard will be decorated with colorful lights and Christmas display like Snowman, Santa, Reindeers and more. It is always a magical site where home owners go to the extreme to have their house and yard decorated with full flash of colorful lightings and Christmas display that follows the rhythm of the music. With snow on the ground will make it a perfect magical Christmas Winter Wonderland.

While we celebrate this Christmas Holiday time of the year, let’s us all give a few moments of thoughts to those less fortunate than us and pray for them. Let us all give thanks for what we have and pray for those soldiers and people who are far away from their loved ones and family. Let us all also pray for harmony and peace around the world.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays!
